IBM says goodbye to it’s well known well loved storage platforms the DS8300 and DS8100 systems. Both systems will become end of service in March next year.  The machines have been among the most successful in the history of the IBM storage story, with lots of customers reluctant or unable to afford to change.

Many of the machines still out in the UK market have plenty of mileage left in them, but the organisations using them are being forced down an upgrade path or storage transformation that often they don’t really want or need.

There is a credible alternative to IBM for support and maintenance of these and all other IBM hardware. If you want to hang onto you IBM DS8300 or DS8100 for longer and sweat your asset Blue Chip can come to the rescue.
